The Shower Floor

The shower floor

Holds nothing more

Than where I lost my mind

I was a pink snowflake

Nails tearing out my eyes

They’ve run dry

After flooded rivers

So I ripped them out

Snapped the chord

And shoved them down the drain

The water now

running too down that drain

Is my melted pink snowflake

From diluted blood

Maybe this is purity

A crazed laughter

A frantic gasp

And a bloody tear

From eyeless holes

On the floor of a shower

Cigarette butts in the sink

I scream

The shower floor

Holds nothing more

Than where I lost my mind
